Doing the Tourist-thing

Visiting this side of the world
So KF’s cousins are here on vacation, and we brought them around today. Well, they arrived last night, and we brought them to Chinatown for dinner. Afterwards they came over to KF’s and spent the night trying the Momo out and watching Cantonese serials.
Recurring food themes
Today was much more exciting – we had Xiao Long Bao for lunch (someplace in Chinatown) and headed to Orchard Road. I think the girls enjoyed themselves, lots of people, lots of clothes, and lots of food! We had an early dinner, and I made them have Xiao Long Bao again! Yeah, it’s my favourite right now. I should make a conscious effort to take photos of my food nowadays.
My vote for best Xiao Long Bao goes to Crystal Jade and the one from the Shanghainese stall at Sim Lim Square Food Court.
Call of the wild
We went to the night safari after dinner, and it was fun! I didn’t take many pictures, but this is a cool one of a leopard pooping.

Lemme take a quick dump
And this is a slug that was on a signboard.

I think its about the grossest thing around
We don’t see slugs very often in Singapore, do we? The last time I saw one – I was 9 and we were in the UK on vacation.
Sick as a dog
I thought I was recovering from that throat infection, but lately my throats been real itchy and the coughing is making it hurt more. Mom gave me some lozenges my uncle brought from the UK – anaesthetic my ass! It’s so weak, I’m better off eating those Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles.
Island Life – again
So tomorrow we’re headed for Sentosa for a bit of sun, sea and sand. Hopefully we can get up early enough to head to Tiong Bahru to get some food.
Tough build!
Oh I have got to rave about my camera again. I dropped it again this morning. It went down with a thud and the screen flipped open. But it still works like nothing happened. I suspect what will break next is a hinge or something. Ergh. I have got to take better care of it. But wow. I can’t imagine dropping KF’s Olympus. Twice!
