Another wholesome meal
Potato chips ($0.90 for 80g – The Fairprice House Brand, though you can go upmarket with Jack and Jill!) and Chinese Tea. The tea I’m using today is Ten Ren brand Whole Leaf High Mountain Oolong (it really says that on the package!) $5.85 for 18 sachets. It’s a pretty good tea, a sweet, fragrant and mellow version of the Chinese restaurant tea. Comes out a pleasing golden colour, too. I don’t think it’s the best thing from an individually wrapped packet, but it’s decent.

You can get this at Meidi-ya at the Basement of Liang Court
I find that tea generally tastes a lot better when you heat your pot or your cup before putting the leaves in. Don’t know why though. If you don’t heat the pot/cup first, it doesn’t smell as good.

it is something to do with the temperature of the water. the chinese say that temp of 80 degrees is the best for the tea. heheh. then again, these connoiseurs can really write a whole bk on tea.
