Back home again

09/09/2006

We touched down promptly at 6.20pm yesterday, and nothing really says Welcome Home more than the Welcome Home signs at immigration that lets you bypass the queues. The airport and their staff were all ready for the IMF and World Bank delegates too, with their smiles and special queues set up.

Life in our sunny island is terribly sheltering. From the efficiency at the airport, to the tree lined ECP. It makes it hard to get used to anything else.

I woke this morning to the call of the Singtel dude who said he was coming over to deliver our modem and Macbook. We “re-contracted” our internet subscription, in return for a Macbook which we’ll probably try to flog off. So if anyone wants this Macbook, I’ve one in an unopened box in my living room looking for a home. Ping me if you’re interested.
