Gaze at the Haze in Amaze-ment
08/10/2006
It’s horrible today! PSI readings of 150.
We went to Bugis this afternoon, and had some chicken rice at Yet Con. I can’t believe that so little about the store changes year to year. It’s always the same Hainanese store owner in his little podium with his little abacus yelling out orders.
After chicken rice at Purvis Street, we went over to Seah Street to check up on Tea Bone Zen Mind, and had a nice time at their Cafe. We had a pleasant time, it was decidedly pretty, neat and unhurried.
Then we walked through Raffles City, and over to Peninsula Plaza to get the lephet. Speaking of which, I finally figured why I made such bad lephet – turns out I’ve been using too much leaf! And I should really mix it with tomatoes and lettuce. Ha ha.
The highlight of my night was when we had dinner at Great World City, and I went to the supermarket to pick up some stuff before it closed. So here I am, it’s a hazy day, I just got up from a nap, I’m wearing no make up, looking like the real slob I am, in one of my crappy tees and crocks, and this really beautiful couple walk out of Cold Storage. I stare at the girl because she’s quite hot, then I stare at her guy cos he’s hotter.
And man, was he hot.
Turns out it was Leslie Kwok.
He’s still hot.
Anyway. Happy Birthday Matt Damon! I’ll love you even though I don’t think The Departed is going to be a good movie.
