I will be the pattern of all patience; I will say nothing.

The post-Christmas sugar low has set in, a couple of days before the imminent New Year, forcing me into the uncomfortable what-am-i-going-to-do-in-2009 corner.

It’s not about resolutions or world peace.

It’s about a new goal, a new destination, a new definition for self-actualisation. Who knew the internet would make achieving so much so much easier? And now I’m back to the drawing board, forcing myself to come up with something that’ll lead to some contentment with a larger measure of challenge, without involving having a kid. In fact, it’d probably have to be challenging, lucrative and selfish enough to actually make having a kid in the equation somewhat undoable.

In other news, who knew “city-state” was an actual definition for a, uhm, well, city-state? Ok – a sovereign city. And that out of the 4 modern city-states left (the others being Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City) ours fits the bill the best?

I’m thinking about some fried Hokkien mee right about now. Sambal on the side, please. ~
