Happy Genius Day!

It seemed like a blink of an eye, but it’s Genius Day again! Happy Genius Day everyone. Take some time out to recognise and appreciate the all-round loveliness and greatness of the geniuses around you.
I had a super productive day today, we started out with a simple and relatively inexpensive Dim Sum lunch at Riverside Restaurant on Vicente in the Sunset. Nothing fancy, nothing spectacular, we spent about $26 including tip and tax, which is pretty decent, and the meal lasted us all day.
After our lunch we scooted over to Flax – the art supply store down on Market Street to pick up some paper. We made an origami lantern yesterday, and were pretty thrilled with the results, so we might try something else with our fancy paper next. We figure we can give it to KF’s nephews and nieces if we run out of space to hang them around. Ha!
Then a quick trip to Costco for petrol and oats. Shopping at Costco is becoming a lot more infrequent for us, to the point where we are actually wondering if it’s worth the $50 annual membership. But getting petrol there is cheap, and not terribly out of the way since we’ve to travel down the peninsular every so often. As for fruits, veggies and other perishables – we’ve moved our shopping to Chinese supermarkets around our area. It’s cheaper, we don’t have to buy everything in such gigantic amounts and a lot more convenient.
We then managed to sneak in a tomato picking session at a certain backyard in Millbrae. Hhaha! After that we headed back home again, to wash and wax KF’s car. It hadn’t been washed in over a year, so it was about time. The little Scion got his bath on Sunday. Can’t believe it’s been a year since I’ve had him.
We had a nice dinner at To Hyang on Geary. We ordered a good amount of food, but they a couple of dishes on the house, so we were stuffed. It was good, and I think we’ll have some fried rice with the leftovers tomorrow.
Nice, laid-back day, we managed to combine shopping with chores, so I enjoyed it. Now I’ll go have some leftover cake.
